Ekphrasis is the title of a cross-genre exhibit combining abstract paintings by Karin Dahl and literary responses by Sandra K. Horn.
In the show each painting comes with an original written character sketch. The exhibit makes it seem that an imaginary character walks out of each painting. People attending the exhibit can read and listen to the character sketches as they view the paintings. The exhibit will fill the first floor gallery of the Cultural Arts Center in Columbus and will open in September 2027.

I’m starting a new series called Fault Lines. It’s about fault lines in the geologic sense and also metaphorically -fault lines in society, in relationships. See the first three paintings here.
