Karin Dahl wins Best of Show!

Karin Dahl received the Jeny Reynolds Memorial Award for Creativity - also known as the Best of Show Award - at the National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW) National Art Competition. This show is currently on display at the Cultural Arts Center in Columbus, Ohio, through May 19th. The award is in the amount of $1,000.

“The Cultural Arts Center exhibit emerged from my collaboration with jazz musicians. Their original compositions inspired my paintings. Conversely, the musicians found inspiration from specific paintings of mine and composed music that sounded like the art.

Ultimately, the translation of meaning from one art form to another produced a wider field of meaning”.
